Hadi Mirzajani
Hadi is a Scientist at EPFL working on biosensing technologies with more than 10 years of experience advancing biofluid-based sensing platforms for applications involving sweat, interstitial fluid, tears, and blood-related samples. He holds a PhD in Electrical Engineering and has developed a strong interdisciplinary profile at the interface of biosensors and bioelectronics, material sciences, and translational R&D. His scientific and innovation record includes 2 patents, more than 28 peer-reviewed journal publications, h-index of 20, and more than €1M in PI-managed research grant funding. Hadi’s experience spans leading academic and industrial R&D environments, including EPFL, Koç University, and the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. He has contributed to biosensing projects from early-stage research and concept development through experimental validation, with a focus on practical sensing technologies for healthcare, diagnostics, and wearable, implantable, and minimally invasive biofluid sampling and sensing.

Hadi Mirzajani secured CHF 0.7 million from the Swiss Innovation Agency through an Innosuisse Innovation Project to advance a new class of point-of-care testing device for same-visit, biomarker-informed Alzheimer’s disease triage. This will be in collaboration with CSEM and CHUV.
